Quality Control & Certifications
At COMAIN CERAMIC, we maintain rigorous quality standards throughout our manufacturing process. From raw material inspection to final packaging, every ceramic mug and dinnerware product undergoes strict quality checks to ensure it meets international safety and durability standards.
Our Quality Control Process
1. Raw Material Inspection
All incoming ceramic raw materials — including clay, glaze, and pigments — are tested for purity, consistency, and compliance with FDA and EU food contact safety regulations. We only source from certified suppliers with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
2. Production In-Process Quality Checks
During the forming, drying, bisque firing, glazing, and glaze firing stages, our QC team conducts visual inspections and dimensional measurements at each critical control point. Defective pieces are removed immediately from the production line.
3. Finished Product Inspection
Every finished product undergoes a comprehensive inspection including:
- Visual appearance check — no cracks, pinholes, or glaze defects
- Dimensional accuracy — height, diameter, and capacity within tolerance
- Weight consistency check
- Lead and cadmium testing (XRF spectrometer)
- Microwave and dishwasher safety testing
- Thermal shock resistance test
- Stacking and nesting tests for mug sets
4. Pre-Shipment Quality Control
Before shipment, we perform a final AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) inspection based on international standards. Our QC team randomly samples 10% of each batch and rejects the entire lot if the defect rate exceeds the agreed AQL level. We also offer third-party inspection services upon request (SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek).
