Heavy Duty Ceramic Mugs for Restaurants and Catering
In a restaurant a mug is not a cup, it is equipment. It goes through a dish machine 8 to 12 times a day, gets stacked wet, and is knocked against a steel rack every cycle. Heavy duty mugs are specified for that life, not for shelf appeal.

Where commercial mugs fail first
Not in the body. The first failure is the handle joint, because a wet mug is gripped by the handle alone and the joint sees repeated load at 60–70°C. The second is rim chipping from rack contact, and the third is glaze crazing after roughly 300 wash cycles if the body was fired below 1150°C. We fire above 1180°C for this reason, and the rolled rim spreads impact instead of concentrating it on an edge.
What we can adjust for your operation
Wall thickness from 5 to 7 mm, foot ring height, handle opening from 25 to 32 mm, and base diameter to fit an existing rack. If your dish machine uses a specific rack pitch, send the pitch and we will confirm the stack height before sampling.
Packing
36 or 48 per 5-layer carton with paper interleaves, drop tested at 1.2 m on all six faces. Damage allowance is 2%; anything above that is replaced on the next order.
Bestellung
500 pcs minimum per colour, mixed colours load in one container. For hospitality groups we hold the approved sample for 24 months so replacements match the original delivery.
Other formats in Keramikbecher.
Can the mug be branded?
Yes — decal, underglaze print or laser. Decal is the only finish rated for 500 wash cycles.
