Visual Inspection #
Check for uniform glaze application, no bubbles or pinholes. The rim should be smooth and even. Color should be consistent across all pieces. Any visible defects in decoration or printing should be flagged immediately.
Functional Testing #
Test mug weight and balance — it should feel comfortable when filled. Check handle strength by applying gentle pressure. Microwave and dishwasher testing confirms the glaze is properly fired. Fill with hot water to check for thermal shock resistance.
Dimensional Accuracy #
Measure height, diameter, and capacity against specifications. A tolerance of ±2mm is standard. Check that mugs stack properly if stackable design was specified. For sublimation mugs, verify that the coating area is correctly positioned.
